Running Time No.2 1994

A car runs in random movement with counting numbers. I have named it as "Uncertainty Car". The numbers on the car count from 1 to 9, or 9 to 1. The counting speed differs individually. Some count slow and some count fast. The numbers do not indicate "0" (zero). The reason for this is because it represents the conception of "ku"(like emptiness)in Buddhist Philosophy. "0" is also a meaning of "death". According to Einstein's Principle of Relativity, "Time" and "Space" are connected as a link to each other and cannot be separated. Furthermore, according to Heisenberg, the "Time" and "Space" is not absolute but is flexibly controlled by humankind, or the observer. I wanted to express the relation of "the Truly Universal Time and Space" with "Humankind" which Einstein and Heisenberg had envisioned, by letting the counting numbers run around chaotically and freely in space.
