The LED numbers repeatedly count from one to nine or nine to one.  Some of them count slowly, others count fast: each counting speed is different.  We will hold a workshop to let the citizens of Denver set the speeds of each LED: I think the "time" , "history" and "character" of Denver will be recorded on it.  The LED numbers are a metaphor for "each individual's life force", "each individual's history" and "each individual's time".

The mirror is a metaphor for "en".  "En" is the Buddhist concept of "relationship" that states a human being can't exist independently.  It can exist only by relating with nature, relation with the universe and relation with other people.
The "Mirror LED" is meant to express the individuality of each Denver citizen and at the same time, reflect their "en" or relationship with those things reflected in the mirror.

The mirror LED will reflect a structure of a building, other Mirror LED, and even visitors.  It will make this a community space that creates a harmony of citizens, visitors and the building.

The architect Libeskind advocates the concept of "Nexus" or the revival of community. I propose the "Art in You" concept that states that art doesn't exist independently, but is generated by each visitor.  My hope is that this artwork will stimulate visitor's sense of "discovery" to create "en" and generate a new community.
